MMA Rivals
MMA Rivals is a multiplatform sport’s simulator game which puts you in the exciting world of MMA fighting where the success depends on your determination in training and bravery in fights.
You pick your fighter, train him, and manage his tactics fight by fight, picking the most suitable moves depending on your skills and the expected strategy of your next opponent.
MMA Rivals is still in early beta and lost of features are missing.
In this version you can see and test only the single player campaign of the game with focus only on training and fighting in three leagues.

Train your fighters in many different martial arts techniques:
4 Currently available – Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Wrestling and Boxing;

Combine skills as you see fit, depending on your strategy;
Easy to navigate tactic set using card deck builder mechanics;
Different battle behaviors set per round which can strongly affect the fight result;
5 different characters to pick from – each one with unique talents;
A total of 24 opponents to challenge set in 3 separate leagues with increasing difficulty;

The game is born through our passion of MMA and we want to dedicate it to all the brave warriors who are not afraid to step in the cage and give it all in the name of the oldest competition in the world – the art of fighting.
Warning: Lots of battle animations are not ready yet and use their generic visuals but it does not affect the final result of the fight. New animations will be added on a regular base but we are just excited to share the game with you as early as possible.

Back here again with an Idea, the clinch. Just anything can happen in the clinch and would add some extra depth into the game.
I love this game, a street fighting thing like Armin (Cyblade74) said would be cool. Props to the makers for making a fun strategy game.

It 's a nice genre. Is Multiplayer running in the Web-Version of the game, too? ( Here @ itch.io)
And a suggestion: I think it would be cool if you 'll impliment a "Street Fight" - Section into the game. I think this will be really cool. Well, I want to support this game. I hope the Web-Version is in development, too. (Like the Android-Version)

Couple of questions...if both fighters execute a move at the same time, what dictates who hits first? Also, sometimes in that situation, the move that executes first cancels the opponents move, and sometimes it doesn't. What dictates this?

When the two moves need to execute simultaneously the fighter with better Speed attribute has twice bigger chance to succeed than his opponent.
The moves that cancel other moves are either those with Stun effect or in case of the other move being such that requires an active move from the opponent (block for example).
I think the speed stat has a lot to do with it and a defensive move will always win, regardless of the stat, like using sidestep from the boxing tree a jab from any opponent, regardless of speed as long as it is activated before or at the same time as said jab.

Sorry, not possible for download. The game works on the server now and can be played only on the web.

It is currently broken due to new ascension but we fix it pretty soon.

Yes, we do. Currently we are finishing the multiplayer part (asynchronous for now). Expect it early March.

Actually it works now - just checked. The logic is as follows:
1. You need to have at least 5 wins before you retire and you will have BJJ and Wrestling unlocked;
2. You need to make another 5 wins in your next run to unlock the MMA as a style pick for your next run;
3. In MMA you need to select which styles should be allowed in your draft - by default you have all styles allowed and you need to tap those you don't want to be included. Next it will allow you to build your Deck by picking between two random cards for each slot (4 slots in total).
Awesome game! I am just learning Phaser with the plan to use it for for a fighter game. This game gives me a lot to look up to. Bravo!
